one tree hill

Earlier this week we went to One Tree Hill the experience was going to Star dome as the main part of our trip Is outta this world. It was fantastic walk into the room and sitting down in the chairs looking up watching the big flat screen it looked real we were spinning around. After
that we went in the play room and played with the space stuff .After that we had lunch then the bus came we had to go back to school.

ice cream comets

On Friday room 14 made ice cream comets. The first step was to crush the biscuits. Crushing the biscuits with the hundreds and thousands block was hurting my hands.

Suddenly Ms Squires sprinkled the chocolate sprinkles and the colourful sprinkles onto the crushed biscuits. Ms Squires scooped the ice cream out and put into my hands. My hands were freezing cold.

The next step was to put the ice cream on the biscuit mixture. I flipped it over and rolled it on my ice cream.

Finally we went outside to eat our ice cream comets. As I ate the ice cream comet there were different kinds of textures like the chocolate and the colorful sprinkles, the ice cream and the crushed biscuits.

Walking to the pools

After walking to the GI pools in the pools, we went to the changing room to change. After that we went to have a quick shower and ran to the pool and had to wait for the other people to finish. Then it was our turn.

Miss Squires said,  "Hop in the pool." When we were in the pool we did steady strokes. I was gasping for breath. I did steady strokes. I was bobbing around the pool. When I was swimming Ms Squires told me to kick and I was kicking furiously.

My favourite part was when we did the steady strokes.

Fire Safety

Beep beep! beep! What is that noise .That noise is the smoke alarm beep!
There must be a fire. It is really important to be fire wise so I will tell you what you need to know to be safe in any situations like this. These are some safety tips.

Most fires happen in the kitchen often by drinking and cooking. Every time
you sleep you must turn off electrical appliances like stoves, TV and microwaves.
To be ready for a fire you must draw an escape plan. Did you know you must stay 1 meter away from heaters and candles?

Every time you must check you smoke alarms. Everybody must be able to get out of the house quickly. Keep matches and candles out of reach.
Did you now there are around 4,000 house fires in New Zealand. If there is a fire in the room get down get low and get out-fast.
If you cannot escape through the door you should then shut the door this will give extra
time to escape the heat and smoke.Crawl to the window keeping low under the smoke, take
a deep breath of air and then reach the window.Once you got out you call 111 .Is your family
still safe and secure?

Motat

Guess what I did last Wednesday? I went to Motat. I went on the bus with my class Room 14 and Room 13. We had a lot of fun. We went because of our topic.

First we got on the bus then when we got there we got out of the bus and we went in to a room with one of the leaders.  Then we had morning tea.

Next room 13 went with the teacher while we had to wait, then we went to tactile dome.When we went to the tactile dome we saw lots of fun things around us. When we were at tactile dome some man came out of the door he was talking about tactile dome. Jonita and 3 more girls then it was me and Esrah me and two boys went in. It was dark in the tactile dome. When we got in there we were singing a song. It was hard. We were trying to get out. We were walking then we fell down. When we got back up we were using our hands to see where we were going. Then we were going up hill then we saw the side. We went down the side then we got out of the tactile dome. It was the next person's turn. Then we went to the next things. We played some games - we were playing car games then we went to then other game room.

Badminton

On the first day of badminton we had instructors to show us what to do. Their names were Lorene and Donna. They showed us some skills for badminton

For the first game we had to get a partner. My partner was Texas. Guess what we had to do? We had to do long passes with the shuttle. While we were doing that I did a trick by putting my hand under my legs and hitting the shuttle up in the air and back down to Texas. After that we had another game.

For this game you have to try to get five shuttles in the rubbish bin."This is so difficult," I thought to myself. "I wish I could get some in." Sadly I got nothing in.. I think Texas got some in though.

I enjoyed badminton especially doing high hits. I hope we will do it another day.

Polar Blast

Last night there was snow in Wellington and Dunedin. There was even snow in Auckland in the afternoon. The snow looked like a big of bag of white cushions lying on top of New Zealand. The people in Wellington, Dunedin and Auckland were freezing cold like ice cubes.

The first day of term at assembly " I felt happy because I was back at school . That day we were learning about the rugby world cup 2011.One of my favorite sports is rugby because you get payed and get famous . MR Jacobson was dressed up in Irish clothes he had a Irish flag on his back and a green curly wig and was shouting out IRELAND! IRELAND!.Team four was one of my bests funny movies because Mr Somerville was the reef of the rugby game and took the ball and got a try . “The teams I go in the world cup is the all blacks and Samoa.

All teachers were all dressed in different country's like new Zealand or Australia and many more.
A man called George Nepia was a former all black his dream was to become
an all black now he’s living the dream.

At Motat, on Wednesday we went in to the pitch black hole of the Tactile Dome. We were at Motat to learn about Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger. When I was crouching I bumped my head on the wall, because I couldn’t see. After that I was freaked out because I had a lump on my head. I clutched the rope to find the way to go. It was scary because when I turned right I could feel hair hanging down. I was crouching down and crawling, when I collapsed onto the ground onto a cushion. That was the end of the maze.

Then we had morning tea. Later we went to the mirror maze. When I entered mirror maze I keep on bumping into the mirrors and I got confused.

After that we had lunch my friends were telling me funny jokes like,”Why did Peter eat his homework ? Because the teacher said it was a piece of cake .“ I started laughing.


Later we went to see the bikes from the olden days. Back in the days there were some crazy bikes like little bikes where the front wheel was small and the back wheel was big.



Are lesson is about bigger better faster stronger.

About my brother/ My Profile

My brother got a contract for Australia to play for a Team!!! I don’t know the team’s name but I do know the colour, it’s yellow striped and green striped.
At the game in Australia my brother called me on the phone, he said “We won the game”. After that he said “Do you want anything?” and I said “No, it’s ok” and his card was finished. Later we had dinner and watched a little bit of tv.

Holiday

On Saturday I went to my uncle’s house at my uncle’s house I played on the Play Station 3 with my cousin. We played mortal combat vs DC universe I had a tie with my cousin. My guy was called scorpion and my cousin’s guy was called sub zero . After that we had dinner then it was time to go home .

Imersion assembly

“Give a round of applause for team 3,” Mr Burt called at our Immersion Assembly. I liked their team because of how they dressed up like mad scientists and a bar of soap with a pink foamy wig. But my favorite part was when they put a multitude of ingredients into a beaker. Boom! Out came the bubbling soap. We were amazed.

DANCING AT A BIRTHDAY

At the birthday party of my brother’s friend Emma, I danced for her. It was at a humongous bar in town. She asked me “Are you going to dance? and I said yes. When I danced people shouted “GO JUNIOR!”
The song was Micheal Jackson’s Beat I did the moonwalk on the stage, wearing a Michael Jackson hat and suit. Colours from the spotlights were shining on me. I felt proud because they were clapping and cheering. One man gave me $5.
After that I went to the table to eat with my mum and dad.

Hydro slide at camp

As I was climbing the steep steps,the light flash went on. Suddenly I went down zooming as fast as I could go. In the pitch black hole was spraying water going over me and I could not see anything. When I went down the hydro slide I was getting chilly cold.
I came out and Mr Marks took picture of me. I climbed up the steep stairs, it was chilly. I made my way up to the top, I was freezing up there because of the wind. Finally it was my turn. The green light went on. I went down twisting around and around coming out with a big splash.
But then they told us our turn was finished. It was the All stars turn. So we went outside and
went to the big pool next to the hydro slide.

Junior's picnic

Last year I went to the picnic it was cool because I played rugby with my friends. After that I went to the sea, I found some crabs. After that I ran back up then I went on the playground.
I had some lunch from my mum. This time I went down to the sea and I found some crabs, they bit my toe it was bleeding. I went to the tap and I took the blood off my toe. I washed it and there was a big cut on my toe. In a few seconds it felt all right, then I felt hungry so I got some lunch from
my mum. When it was time to go back to school and while we were walking I was talking with my friends.

Holiday
